I’m so looking forward to this afternoon – the first talk I will be giving since losing (and regaining) my mobility. It’s not too late to book – there are two sessions:
- Researching your female ancestors via midwives and nurse
- Researching intercoastal Shipping and Passengers along the east coast of Victoria
Hope to see you there!

Hi Susie, Re this afternoon’s talk. ‘The Geelong Voices Oral History Project’ covers many medical aspects ie, CD 026 – ‘Hospitals, Doctors & Midwives in Geelong West’. It could possibly have been of interest today but my computer played up. I have been waiting for along time to the State Library to put the info on line. The process is under way and I will be meeting with the Tech people next week. The Geelong Library & Heritage Centre have copies of all the 225 Cd’s plus accompanying notes and photos and as soon as the Library finalises things, hopefully the info will be more accessible. Regards, Gwlad
